Women’s Writes: A Creative Collective Open Mic Event

November 10, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The Creative Collective presents, in partnership with The Artist’s Umbrella, “Women’s Writes”: An Open Mic theme.
The law, Act 328 of 1931, criminalizes abortion as manslaughter and states that providers who carry out abortions shall be guilty of a felony, except when necessary to save the life of a pregnant person.
Sen. Erika Geiss, D-Taylor, introduced State Legislature Senate Bill 70, which would repeal the 1931 Michigan law banning abortions.
If the US Supreme Court were to eventually overturn Roe, the 1931 law could go back into effect.
State Senator Erika Geiss is joining The CC discussion panel with State Representative Sarah Anthony for this powerful and informative event!
